MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn
6 mm crochet hook,
(5.5 for Newborn to 3 months)
Yarn needle
INSTRUCTIONS:

1. This was originally a video only pattern, visit the demo above for a complete explanation.
Chain 30 for Newborn to 3 months, and 3 - 6 months
Chain 34 for 6 - 12 months
2. Single crochet in the 2nd stitch from the hook, and each stitch of the chain.
3. *Chain 1 and turn, working in the back side of the
stitch only for the entire pattern, single crochet in each
stitch across the row. Repeat from * for:
Newborn to 3 mths: 5 rows,
3 -6 mths: 6 rows,
6 - 12 mths: 7 rows.
4. Slip stitch in the first:
New - 6 mths: 6 stitches, 6 - 12 mths: 8 stitches.
Single crochet across the row, leaving the same number of stitch un-worked at the end of the row.
5. *Chain 1 and turn, single crochet in each
stitch of the row of reduced stitches.
Repeat from * for
New-3 mths: 1 row,
3 - 6 mths: 2 rows;
6 - 12 rows: 3 rows.
Fasten off with a 12 inch long yarn end, thread into a
yarn needle, weave through the last row of stitches,
pull tightly to gather up the toe end of the booties, take
several stitches to secure, sew up the front of the
bootie. Sew the heel end of the bootie. Pass 2 strands
of yarn through the ankle of the bootie, tie in front, or
on the side.
