INSTRUCTIONS: Gauge: 2 sc and 2 rows = 1 sq. Inch
1.  Cuffs:
 2-5 yrs: Chain 19 (fits 4 - 5 inch foot)
 5-8 yrs: Chain 22 (fits 5-6 inch foot)
 8-12 yrs: Chain 23: (fits 6-7 inch foot)
 Adult Small: Chain 27: (fits 7-8 inch foot)
 Adult Medium: Chain 31 (fits 9 - 10 inch foot)
 Adult Large: Chain 35 (fits 11 - 12 inch foot)
 Adult XLarge: Chain 40 (fits 12-14 inch foot)

double crochet in the 3rd stitch from the hook, 
and each stitch of the chain.


2. Chain 2 and turn, double crochet in each 
  stitch across the row.(18, 21, 22, 26, 30, 34, 
  39) 

3. Repeat step 2 for 5 more rows (change colors, 
   or use the same color).  

4. Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch 
   across the row.  

5. Chain 1 and turn, single crochet across the row, 
   working in the back side of the stitch only.

6.  2-5 yrs: Turn, slip stitch into the next 6 
    stitches, chain 1, single crochet in the 
    next 6 stitches, leave the remaining 6 
    stitches not worked into. (You will be 
    working in 6 stitches across the top of the 
    foot.)

5-8 yrs: Turn, slip stitch into the next 
]  7 stitches, chain 1, single crochet in the 
   next 7 stitches, leave the remaining 
   7 stitches not workedinto. (You will be 
   working in 7 stitches across the top of the 
   foot.)

 8-12 yrs: Turn, slip stitch into the next 
   7 stitches, chain 1, single crochet in the 
   next 8 stitches, leave the remaining 
   7 stitches not workedinto. (You will be 
   working 8 stitches across the top of the foot.)

Adult Small: Turn, slip stitch into the next 
   8 stitches, chain 1, single crochet in the 
   next 10 stitches, leave the remaining 8 
   stitches not workedinto. (You will be 
   working 10 stitches across.)

Adult Medium: Turn, slip stitch into the next 
   10 stitches, chain 1, single crochet in 
   the next 10 stitches, leave the remaining 
   10 stitches notworked into. (You will be 
   working 10 stitches across the top of the 
   foot.)

Adult Large: Turn, slip stitch into the next 11 
   stitches, chain 1, single crochet in the 
   same stitch and in the next 12 stitches, 
   leave the remaining 11 stitches not 
   worked into. (You will be working 12 stitches 
   across the top of the foot.)

Adult XLarge: Turn, slip stitch into the next 
   13 stitches, chain 1, single crochet in the 
   next 13 stitches, leave the remaining 
   13 stitches not worked into. (You will be 
   working 13 stitches across the top of the 
   foot.)

7. Chain 1 and turn, single crochet in each 
   stitch across the row of reduced stitches.


8. Repeat step 6 for:
 2-5 yrs: 5 more rows
 5-8 yrs: 6 more rows
  8-12 yrs: 7 more rows
   Adult Small: 10 more rows
   Adult Medium: 12 more rows
   Adult Large: 13 more rows
   Adult XLarge: 15 more rows


9. Attach any color yarn at either heel end of the work, evenly     
    single crochet in each stitch across the row, working 2 stitches in 
    each of the curved edges at the toe end.

10. Repeat step 9 for: 
 2-5 yrs: 2 more rows, (b do not add extra stitches in the curve).
5-8 yrs: 3 more rows, ( do not add extra stitches in the curve).
 8-12 yrs: 3 more rows, ( do not add extra stitches in the curve).
Adult Small: 4 more rows, ( do not add extra stitches in the                                                              curve).
Adult Medium: 4 more rows, ( do not add extra stitches in the                                                       curve).
Adult Large: 5 more rows, (do not add extra stitches in the                                                               curve).
Adult XLarge: 6 more rows, (but do not add extra stitches in the                                                    curve).

 


11. Sole:
Working in the back side of the stitch only for this row,     
*chain 1 and turn, single crochet evenly around.
Repeat from * for:
2-5 yrs: 2 more rows, but work in both sides of the stitch.
5-8 yrs: 2 more rows, but work in both sides of the stitch.
 8-12 yrs: 2 more rows, but work in both sides of the stitch.
Adult Small: 3 more rows, but work in both sides of the                                                      stitch.
Adult Medium: 4 more rows, but work in both sides of the                                                   stitch.
Adult Large: 5 more rows, but work in both sides of the                                                       stitch.
Adult XLarge: 6 more rows, but work in both sides of the                                                  stitch.

Fold the work in half, sew the heel end closed, and across the bottom of the sole.

1. Work a chain that is as long as the foot (center of heel to center 
    of front of foot).
Half-double crochet in the 3rd stitch from the hook, and each      
stitch of the chain.

2. Optional: change color:
   Chain 2, half-double crochet in each stitch across the row, working in the back side of the stitch.

3. Optional: change color: Chain 1 and turn, single crochet in each      stitch across the row, working in the back side of the stitch only.




4. Repeat step 2, for as many rows as needed to reach across the 
    bottom of the foot.

5. Optional: change color, and repeat step 3 then step 2, and one 
    final row of half-double crochet.

   Fasten off with a long yarn end, 
   thread it into a yarn needle, 
   weave through the end of the square, 
    pull to gather up and close the toe end of the slipper, 
    then sew across the top of the foot up  to half way across.  
Fold the heel end in half, 
sew the back seam.
