MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn, worked 2 strands
6.5 mm crochet hook
Yarn needle

1. Work a chain that is as long as the foot (center of heel to center
of front of foot).

2. Optional: change color:
Chain 2, half-double crochet in each stitch across the row, working in the back side of the stitch.
3. Optional: change color: Chain 1 and turn, single crochet in each stitch across the row, working in the back side of the stitch only.
4. Repeat step 2, for as many rows as needed to reach across the
bottom of the foot.

5. Optional: change color, and repeat step 3 then step 2, and one
final row of half-double crochet.

Fasten off with a long yarn end,
thread it into a yarn needle,
weave through the end of the square,
pull to gather up and close the toe end of the slipper,
then sew across the top of the foot up to half way across.
