MATERIALS:
100% cotton worsted
4.5 mm crochet hook
Yarn needle
Buttons optional for decoration
One pair of flip flops

ALL SIZES:
Round 1: Chain 5, slip stitch to join and form a ring.
Chain 2 (takes the place of the first dc,
2 double crochet in the ring, chain 2;
*3 double crochet in the ring, chain 2;
repeat from * two more times,
slip stitch to join in the top of the first chain 2. Fasten off.
Round 2: Attach another color yarn in any chain 2 space.
Chain 2, (takes the place of the 1st dc), double crochet in the same space;
*double crochet in the next 3 double crochet;
in the next chain 2 space make: 2 double crochet, chain 2, 2 double crochet.
repeat from * 2 more times,
double crochet in the next 3 stitches, 2 double crochet in the last chain 2
space, chain 2, slip stitch to join in the top of the first chain 2. Fasten off.
Round 3: Attach any color yarn in any stitch.
Chain 2 (takes the place of the 1st dc).
In every double crochet make 1 double crochet.
In every chain 2 space make: 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc.
Slip stitch to join in the top of beginning
chain 2.
Round 4: Repeat round 3.
ANKLE TIES:
Either work a chain 4 feet long, or use one strand of
cotton worsted, approx. 4 feet long.
Attach in one corner stitch.
Cut 3 pieces of yarn, approx. 14 inches long.
Attach one in each remaining corner.
Position over the flip flop.
Criss-cross yarn around the toe shank of the flip flop, then pull through 2 rows of stitches.
Tie in a bow.
Repeat on the two sides. Sew a button in the center.
FINISHED!!
