MATERIALS:

Worsted weight yarn (approx. 10 yds)

6 mm knitting needles

Small amount of fiberfil

Yarn needle

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Cast on 35 stitches.

2.  Work stockinette stitch for 10 rows, cast off, leave approx.  

      a 24 inch long yarn end.

Thread it into a needle.

Fold the work in half, sew into a tube.

Weave through the open end of the tube, pull to gather tightly, 

take several stitches to  secure.




Place a small amount of fiberfil around the outer edges of the cavity.

Weave yarn through the open end of the tube, pull to gather tightly, take several stitches to secure.


Wrap yarn around the seam from sewing into a tube,

pull tightly, then do the same directly

opposite.  


Every 5 rows, wrap yarn around, pull tightly to form petals.  

Sew a button or bead in the center.
