sequences of ribbing of k1p1 for 5 rows,
and then the opposite  p1k1 for 5 rows.
Working with 2 strands of ww yarn, and 8 mm         needles: cast on 32 stitches

2.  Work in ribbing (k1p1) for 5 rows.

3.  Work in ribbing (p1k1) for 5 rows.  (Note, work
a purl stitch in a knit stitch for the first
   row of this sequence.)

4.  Work in ribbing for 5 rows, working the
     opposite of the previous sequence.
