1. Cast on:
Pre-Teen: 10-13 yrs: shoe size 6.5- 7J: cast on 20 stitches (foot 5-6 in. long)
Teen: 14-16 yrs: shoe size 8J: cast on 24 stitches (foot length 7-8 inches)
Adult small, shoe size 6-7: cast on 28 stitches (foot length 9 - 10 inches)
Adult medium, shoe size 8 9: cast on 28 stitches (foot length 10-11 inches)
Adult Large, shoe size 10-11: cast on 32 stitches (foot length 12-13 inches
Adult XL: shoe size 12-13: cast on 36 stitches (foot length 13-14 inches)
2. *Knit 2, purl 2, repeat from * across the row.
Repeat from * until the work is the following length:
Teen: 14 - 16: 14 inches (approx. 36 rows)
Adult small: 18 inches (approx. 40 rows)
Adult medium: 20 inches (approx. 42 rows)
Adult Large: 22 inches (approx. 46 rows)
Adult XL: 24 inches (approx. 50 rows)
3. Decrease for the toe end:
K 2 together, p 2 together across the row.
Leave an 18 inch long yarn end, thread it into a yarn needle, photo 1
transfer the stitches from the knitting needle to the yarn needle, photo 2
pull to close the end of the slipper, photo 3
take several stitches to secure,
then sew up the full length of the work to form a tube. Photos 4,5,6.
Weave yarn ends into the finished work.
