 LAMB’S EAR WREATH

Crochet individual leaves, (very easy, and attach them to a cardboard circle (how-to below), for a unique Christmas wreath!!

MATERIALS:

Worsted weight yarn (Red Heart Super Saver)

5.5 mm crochet hook

Yarn needle

Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Wreath form (instructions included to make with cereal box or cardboard box)

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

To make larger leaves for large wreaths, use chunky yarn, or 2 strands of ww yarn, and a 7 mm hook. (For example, velvet yarn and a 9 mm hook.)

Sample shown was worked in Velvet Yarn.

 

1.  Chain 11.

2.  Single crochet in the 2nd stitch from the hook, 

    half- double crochet in the next 2 stitches,

double crochet in the next 2 stitches,

triple crochet in the next 2 stitches,

double crochet in the next 2 stitches,

in the last stitch of the row make 3 single crochet.

Working down the other side of the chain:

double crochet in the next 2 stitches,

triple crochet in the next 2 stitches,

double crochet in the next 2 stitches,

half-double crochet in the next stitch,

single crochet in the last stitche,

slip stitch into the first stitch on the opposite 

side of the chain,

fasten off. 

Weave yarn ends into the finished work.

 

 


Make your wreath round, oval or heart shaped.

Optional: wrap the form with torn fabric, burlap,or ribbon.
