MATERIALS:

1 strand of ww yarn PLUS 1 strand of Lion Brand Homespun yarn,

(Adult XL: Legwarmers: approx. 140 - 160 yds total; Texting Gloves: 90 - 110 yds total)

9 mm knitting needles (US 13)

Yarn needle

Ruler or measuring tape

INSTRUCTIONS:  Gauge: 2 stitches and 3 rows = 1 sq. inch

1.  LEGWARMERS: Worked flat.


5-12 yrs: Cast on 20 stitches with 1 strand of ww yarn plus 1 strand of Homespun yarn.

          (11 inch circumference)

12-16 yrs: Cast on 24 stitches with 1 strand of ww yarn plus 1 strand of Homespun yarn.

          (12 inch circumference)

Adult S-M: Cast on 26 stitches with 1 strand of ww yarn plus 1 strand of Homespun yarn.

          (13 inch circumference)

Adult M-L: Cast on 28 stitches with 1 strand of ww yarn plus 1 strand of Homespun yarn.

          (14 inch circumference)

Adult L-XL: Cast on 30 - 32 stitches with 1 strand of ww yarn plus 1 strand of Homespun yarn.

         (15-16 inch circumference)

2.  Work in stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row) until the work IS AS TALL AS DESIRED.

3.  Cast off with a long yarn end, thread it into a needle, fold the work in half, and sew into a tube. Weave yarn ends into the finished work.

 

 

 

TEXTING GLOVES:  Worked flat.


1.   5-12 yrs: Cast on 16 stitches with 1 strand of ww yarn plus 1 strand of Homespun yarn.

12-16 yrs: Cast on 18 stitches with 1 strand of ww yarn plus 1 strand of Homespun yarn.

Adult S-M: Cast on 20 stitches with 1 strand of ww yarn plus 1 strand of Homespun yarn.

Adult M-L: Cast on 22 stitches with 1 strand of ww yarn plus 1 strand of Homespun yarn.

Adult L-XL: Cast on 26 stitches with 1 strand of ww yarn plus 1 strand of Homespun yarn.

2.  Work in stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row) until the work IS AS TALL AS DESIRED.

3.  Cast off with a long yarn end, thread it into a needle, fold the work in half, and sew into a tube, leaving an opening for the thumb. Weave yarn ends into the finished work.
