HOW TO SOFTEN STIFF YARN:
MATERIALS:
100% cotton Worsted weight yarn
4.5 mm crochet hook
Yarn needle

1. Chain 5, slip stitch to join and form a ring.
2. Chain 2, make 2 double crochet in the ring, chain 1, 3 double
crochet in the ring, repeat from * 2 more
times , chain 1, slip stitch to join in the top of the first chain 2.
3. Turn, slip stitch into the chain 1 space, chain 2, make 2 double
crochet in the same space, chain 1, make
3 more double crochet in the same space (corner motif formed)
. *In the next chain 1 space, make 3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc, repeat from
* 2 more times, slip stitch to join in the top of the chain 2.
4. Slip stitch to the next chain 1 space, chain 20, fasten off with a 3
inch long yarn end.Make a tassel and tie
it to the end of the chain, pull yarn ends into the center of the
tassel.
HOW TO MAKE A TASSEL: For this design, I wrapped yarn around my 4 fingers.
