CROCHET SHRUG or SCARF

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn (1 skein of 198 grams will make any size.)
9 mm crochet hook
9 mm crochet hook
Yarn needle
INSTRUCTIONS: Gauge: 2 stitches = 1 sq inch
Small: chain 34
Medium: chain 38
Large: chain 42
1. Double crochet in the 4th stitch from the hook and each stitch of the chain.
2. Chain 2 and turn, double crochet in each stitch across the row, working in the back side of the stitch only.
3. Repeat step 2 until the rectangle is as long as needed.
Examples: Small: 28 rows; Medium: 30 rows, Large: 38 rows
Fasten off, weave yarn ends into the finished work.
To form into sleeves, fold the rectangle in half,
and connect by sewing, or attaching a chain cord to bring the corners together, as shown in the photo.
