Quick and easy chunky style slouchy hat.
So fast to make!
I used Caron Tea Cakes
BUT
2 strands of worsted weight (Bernat Premium  or Red Heart Soft)
could be used.

**MATERIALS:**
Caron Tea Cakes chunky yarn,
 OR, 
2 strands of worsted weight yarn
     (116 yds chunky yarn… or.. 232 yds ww)

Instructions: Gauge: 2 sc and 2 rows = 1 sq. inch

Works top down. 

1.  Chain 5, slip stitch to join.

2.  Chain 2, make 10 double crochet in the ring, slip stitch to join in      the top of the chain 2. (11)

3.  Chain 2, make 2 double crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch 

     to join. (22)

4.  Repeat step 3. (44)

5.  Chain 2, alternate front post and back post double crochet 

     around, slip stitch to join. (44)

6.  *Chain 2, double crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to 

     join. (44)

     Repeat from * for one more row. (44)

7.  Repeat step 5 and 6. (44) (NOTE: For a less slouchy hat, skip     

     this step, go to step 8.)

8.  Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch around, skipping every 

     10th stitch, slip stitch to join. (40)

9.  *Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join.

Repeat from * for 2 more rows, fasten off.  Weave yarn 

ends into  the finished work.
