MATERIALS:

Worsted weight yarn

5 mm crochet hook

(Or any yarn and hook size to match yarn.)

Yarn needle

1.  Insert yarn in any stitch, lock it in or single crochet in the same stitch,

*Chain 3, skip 3 stitches or the equivalent length of 3 chain stitches, single crochet in that stitch.

 

2.  Chain 6, single crochet in the base of the chain 6 (loop formed).  

Turn the loop, in the loop make:

2 single crochet, 1 double crochet, 4 triple crochet, chain 3, single

crochet in the loop (1/2 of the heart formed).  

Work the other side of the heart: chain 3, 4 triple crochet, double crochet,

2 single crochet, slip stitch in the bottom stitch of the heart.

 

3.  *Chain 3, skip 3 stitches, single crochet in the next stitch, repeat from *

one more time.

 

4.  Repeat steps 2 and 3, BUT after completing the 2nd triple crochet, pull

the stitch out slightly, remove the hook, slip the hook into the 2nd triple

crochet of the previous heart, and connect it to the previous heart.
