TEXTING GLOVES

WORKED FLAT!

REPEAT THE SAME COLOR SEQUENCE throughout.

1. Black yarn:

 5-12 YEARS:  Chain 20

TEEN AND ADULT: Chain 26,

Double crochet in the 4th stitch from the hook, and each

stitch of the chain.

1.  PULL NEW COLOR (red in this design)  chain 2 (counts

as a dc), double crochet into the next 2 stitches

*chain 3,  skip the next 3 dc, dc in

    the next 3 stitches, repeat

from * across the row. At the end of the row chain 3, slip

stitch in the last stitch.

3.  PULL NEW COLOR INTO THE SINGLE CROCHET

     STITCH (wine in this design),

chain 2 (counts as a dc),

double crochet into the next 2 stitches of the previous

row (long double crochet),

(note: you will be enclosing the chain 3

within the double crochet stitches),

*chain 3, skip the next 3 dc, work 3 long double crochet

into the 3 dc stitches of the previous row. At the

end of the row chain 3, slip stitch in the last

     stitch.

4. Repeat step 3, changing colors in the same sequence

    throughout. (Blk/red/wine)

Work until the work is the desired height. (17 rows in this

sample.)

5. LAST ROW:  Work a sc in every dc, and a dc in the dc of the previous row across.

Fasten off with a long yarn end, thread it into a yarn needle, fold the work in half, sew the seam closed, leaving an opening for the thumb.
