MATERIALS:
Red Heart Super saver (1 skein)
12 mm crochet hook
Yarn needle

1. Chain 44 or any length needed to slide easily over the head, slip stitch to join.
2. Chain 2, double crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join in the top of the chain 2.
3. Chain 5, skip the next stitch, *double crochet in the next stitch, chain 3, repeat from * around,
slip stitch to join in the 2nd stitch of the chain 5.
4. Every additional row: Chain 1 extra stitch in the chain space between each double crochet.
(Therefore: next row begin with chain 6, dc in the next dc, then chain 4 between each dc.
Next row: chain 7, dc in the next dc, then chain 5 between each dc.
Next row: chain 8, dc in the next dc, then chain 6 between each dc.
Next row: chain 9, dc in the next dc, then chain 7 between each dc.)
When the poncho is the desired length, fasten off, weave yarn ends into the finished work.
