INSTRUCTIONS: Gauge: 3 stitches and 3 rows = 1 sq. inch

1.  Working with 2 strands of worsted weight yarn, and 6 mm needles: cast on:
Newborn to 3 months: 32 stitches


2.  Knit every row for: newborn - 3 months: 12 rows

3.  Cast off the first: newborn -  3 months: 8 stitches.  Knit across the remainder of the row.

4.  Repeat step 3.

5.  *Knit across the next 2 rows. Stockinette stitch the next 2 rows.Repeat from * for:
new. - 3 mths: 2 more times
Cast off, leaving a long yarn end, thread it into a needle, and weave through the last row 
of stitches,
passing through every 2nd stitch, pull to gather up and close the toe end of the bootie,    
Take several stitches to secure, then sew the front of the bootie.  Sew the back seam of 
the bootie. Weave yarn ends into the finished work.

















1.  Attach fringe:
 Cut yarn approx. 5 inches long, attach 2 strands in each stitch along the top of the bootie,
trim to even out the fringe, fold the top down approx. 1/2 inch.
