MATERIALS:
WW yarn (Bernat Premium) (300 - 350 YDS) (Each row requires approx. 4.3 yds of yarn and 1.5 minutes to work)
(Therefore a 72 inch long shawl will require approx. 300 - 350 yds of ww yarn.)
6.5 mm crochet hook

1. Chain 43, (don’t worry if it seems short, it will stretch)
Double crochet in the 3rd stitch from the hook, and in the next 3 stitches,
Chain 5, skip the next 6 stitches, V stitch in the next stitch (V stitch + dc, ch1, dc)
*skip the next 2 stitches, V stitch in the next stitch,
repeat from * one more time,
Chain 5, skip the next 6 stitches, double crochet in the last 5 stitches.
2. Chain 2 and turn (counts as a dc stitch),
double crochet in the next 4 stitches,
chain 5, V stitch in the chain 1 space of the next V stitch,
V stitch in the next 2 V stitches,
chain 5, skip the next 6 stitches, double crochet in the last 5 stitches.
3. Repeat step 2 until the shawl is the desired length.
