CARON CHUNKY CAKES YARN (200-400 YDS, SEE STEP 1)

INSTRUCTIONS: Gauge: 2 stitches and 2 rows = 1 sq. inch

1. FRONT: (Make 2) Cast on:
Small - Medium: 24 stitches (200 YDS)
Large - XL: 28 (300 YDS)
2XL - 3XL: 36 (350 YDS)
4XL- 5XL: 40 stitches (400 YDS)
2. Work in ribbing (k2p2) for 4 rows.
3. Knit across the row.
4. *Slide the first stitch off without working into it, (this will keep a
straight edge),
knit the next stitch, then work ribbing across the row. Repeat
from* until the rectangle is
approx. 30 - 36 inches long (shoulder to hem).
BACK: Make 1.
Small - Medium: 56 stitches
Large - XL: Cast on: 64 stitches
2XL - 3XL: Cast on 80 stitches
4XL- 5XL: Cast on 88 stitches
Work until the work is as long as the front section.
Sew the front to the back at the shoulders, aligning the edges
and leaving the center stitches open for the neck.
If desired sew buttons on the sides.
