1.  Make 2:
(Working with 9 mm hook (US M/N) and 2 STRANDS OF WW YARN.)

1. Adult: chain 40;  12-16 yrs: chain 36;  5-12 yrs: chain 32

2.  Single crochet in the 2nd stitch from the hook and in each stitch
    of the chain.

3.  *Chain 1 and turn, working in the back side of the stitch only,
single crochet in each stitch across.
Repeat from* for 2 more rows.

4.  Turn, slip stitch in each stitch around, (to keep the edge firm and
     prevent it from flaring out.)

Fasten off.  Make 2, then loop together in the center.
Attach the 2 sides together along the center line with the same yarn and a yarn needle.

Then sew the back together: There are 2 options:
Option 1: stack all 4 and either sew with yarn and a yarn needle, or slip stitch to join with the crochet hook.
Option 2: attach the ends together the width of both sections.
