#2766 - HALLOWEEN TEA COZY

Easy knitted tea pot cozy for Halloween or Fall

MATERIALS:

Worsted weight yarn (Red Heart Super Saver or Bernat Premium)

5 mm crochet hook

Yarn needle

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Make 2, then sew together on the sides, leaving openings 

    for the handle and spout.

Worked sideways.

 Chain 22, double crochet in the 3rd stitch from the

hook and each stitch of the chain.

 

2.  *Chain 2 and turn, working in the back side of the stitch 

     only, double crochet in each

stitch across the row. Repeat from * for 9 rows or as many 

rows as needed to reach

from the handle to the spout.  Fasten off.

 

 Make 2, sew together to form a tube, leaving openings on the 2 sides for the handle and the spout.


3.   Chain a cord approx. 20 inches long, pass

through the top of the tube. (I worked mine in

green yarn to simulate vines.) Pull to fit and tie

      into a permanent bow.


       Stitch the eyes and mouth with black       

yarn.
