BLOCKING: Basically there are 2 ways of blocking.
1.  Steam blocking: arrange item on a flat surface, hold steam iron above the surface, (not touching the surface), and
   steam. Allow the item to dry in the shape desired.

2.  Immerse in water, and squeeze water out, or spray with water. Arrange item on a thick bath towel, shape
as desired, allow to dry undisturbed.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn (Red Heart Super Saver, worked 2 strands - OR - one strand super bulky yarn)
( 60 yds ww for adult small; 180 yards for XL)
7 mm knitting needles
Yarn needle
Time requirement: approx. 30 minutes for one pair of adult small slippers


INSTRUCTIONS: Gauge: 2.5 stitches long = 1 inch

1.  Working with 2 strands of Red Heart Super Saver yarn, OR one strand of super bulky yarn, cast on:
2 - 4 yrs: 12 stitches
4 - 6 yrs: 14 stitches
6 - 10 yrs: 16 stitches
10 - 12 yrs: 18 stitches
12 - 16 yrs: 20 stitches
Adult Small: 22 stitches
Adult Medium: 24 stitches
Adult Large: 26 stitches
Adult XLarge: 30 stitches (fits up to 13 inch long foot)

2.  Knit every row for:
2 - 4 yrs: 20 rows
4 - 6 yrs: 26 rows
6 - 10 yrs: 28 rows
10 - 12 yrs: 30 rows
12 - 16 yrs: 36 rows
Adult Small: 40 rows
Adult Medium: 46 rows
Adult Large: 50 rows
Adult XLarge : 58 rows

3.  Cast off leaving along yarn end, thread into a needle, weave 
      through the last row of stitches,
      pull to gather up and close the end of the slipper, then sew the 
      top of the foot, sewing approx. 1/2 the distance across.  
      Sew the heel end closed.

MAKE THE BOW:
Cast on 6 stitches, knit every row for 12 - 14 rows.  Cast off.  Wind yarn around the center of the rectangle to form a bow, then sew onto the front of the slipper.
