FREE CROCHET PATTERN, Tie on turban Spring headband

#2166 - CROCHET HEADBAND- SPRING TIE ON HEADBAND


Quick crochet project, Summer headband and crochet butterfly!

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn
 6 mm crochet hook
yarn needle

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Chain 2, make 3 single crochet in the 2nd stitch from the hook.
2.  Chain 1 and turn, single crochet in the 3 stitches across the row.
3.  Repeat step 2 until the work measures approx. 6 inches.
4.  Increase row:
     *Chain 1 and turn, make 2 single crochet in each stitch across the row.
     Repeat from* until the WIDEST work is the same size as the head:
     Example: 5-12 years: 20 inches; 12-16: 21 inches; adult: 22 inches
5.  Decrease for the other end.  Chain 1 and turn, make 3 single crochet decreases across the row,
    decreasing to 3 stitches.  See the video for how to work a single crochet decrease:

6.  Chain 1 and turn, single crochet in each of the 3 stitches across the row.
     Repeat from * until the tab is approx. 6 inches long, then single crochet decrease one stitch, and
    fasten off.  Weave yarn ends into the finished work.  Tie into a knot to fit.

1.  Chain 32, or any number which can be divided by 3
2.  Double crochet in the 5th stitch from the hook, *skip the next 2 stitches in the next stitch make:
 double crochet, chain 1, double crochet, repeat from * across the row.
3.  Turn, slip stitch into the first chain 1 space, chain 4, double crochet in the same space,
In every chain 1 space make: double crochet, chain 1, double crochet.
4.  Repeat step 3 until the scarf is as long as desired.
