MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn
5.5 mm crochet hook
Yarn needle

1.  Chain 5, slip stitch to join and form a ring.

2.  Chain 1, make 8 single crochet in the ring, slip stitch to join in the 1st single crochet.

3.  6 - 8 yrs: Chain 1 and turn, make 2 single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join. (16)
8 - 12 yrs: Chain 1 and turn, make 2 single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join. (16)
        Chain 1 and turn, single crochet around, making 2 single crochet in every 2nd stitch. (24)
Adult S: Chain 1 and turn, make 2 single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join. (16)
       *Chain 1 and turn, 2 single crochet in the next 2 stitches, single crochet in the next stitch,   
repeat from * around, slip stitch to join. (26 stitches)
Adult M: Chain 1 and turn, make 2 single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join. (16)
       Chain 1 and turn, *2 single crochet in the next 4 stitches, single crochet in the next stitch,
       repeat from * around, slip stitch to join. (28 stitches)
Adult L - XL: Chain 1 and turn, make 2 single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join. (16)
       Chain 1 and turn, 2 single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join. (32)


4.  *Chain 1 and turn, single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join.
 Repeat from * for one more row.

5.  Attach a new color, chain 1, single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join.

6.  Pull original color through the last stitch, chain 2, turn, double crochet in each stitch around, slip
stitch to join.

7.  Pull contrasting color through the last stitch, chain 1, single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch
to join.

8.  Pull another color through the last stitch, chain 2, double crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch
to join.

9.  Pull contrasting color through the last stitch, chain 1, single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch
to join, fasten off.

10.  Pull main color through the last stitch, *chain 1, single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to
join.
Age 6 - 8: Go to step 11.
8 - 12: repeat from * for one more row.
12-16; repeat from * for 2 more rows.
Adult S: repeat from * for 3 more rows
Adult M: repeat from * for 4 more rows
Adult L: repeat from * for 5 more rows

11.  Chain 1 and turn, single crochet across the row, but:
6 - 12 yrs: leave the last 3 stitches not worked into
12-16 yrs and adult small: leave the last 4 stitches not worked into.
Adult L to XL: leave the last 5 stitches not worked into.

12.  *Chain1 and turn, single crochet across the row.  Repeat from * for:
     Age 6 - 8: 9 rows (total length of slipper should be 6 inches, if not add more rows.)
     8 - 10: 10 rows  (total length of slipper should be 7 inches, if not add more rows.)
     10 - 12: 11 rows  (total length of slipper should be 8 inches, if not add more rows.)
     12 - 16: 12 rows  (total length of slipper should be 9 inches, if not add more rows.)
     Adult S: 14 rows  (total length of slipper should be 9 - 10 inches, if not add more rows.)
     Adult M: 16 rows  (total length of slipper should be 10 - 11 inches, if not add more rows.)
     Adult L: 18 rows (total length of slipper should be 12 -13 inches, if not add more rows.)

13.  Fold the slipper in half, and slip stitch the heel end closed. Fasten off.

14. Attach yarn in the center back (heel) of the slipper, chain 1, single crochet in each stitch around,
evenly spacing the stitches so that they are slightly tight.  See the video for demo.  Slip stitch to
join, and fasten off.

15.  Attach contrasting color in the fasten off stitch, chain 1, single crochet in each stitch around, slip
stitch to join, fasten off, weave all yarn ends into the finished work.
